Exploring the chain
🔥What we’re watching: Matchain integrated BitGet’s software development kit OmniConnect to its gamified Telegram mini-app.
🔥Why it matters: BitGet Wallet, a multichain wallet that supports networks like Ethereum, Solana and The Open Network (TON), has recently launched its OmniConnect feature. This SDK is designed to streamline integration with over 500 blockchains to Telegram mini-apps.
Matchain’s MatchQuest campaign, which operates as a Telegram mini-app, can benefit from this new functionality by gainin`g exposure and broadening its reach to users across other blockchains.
With BitGet’s 12 million monthly active users, this feature could serve as an entry point for blockchain networks looking to expand their reach and onboard new users.
Previously, Telegram mini-apps were limited to interacting solely with the TON network, which makes sense since both platforms were cofounded by Pavel Durov. But, this puts limitations on these apps’ reach to other blockchains and users across ecosystems. Now, with BitGet Wallet’s OmniConnect, networks can integrate multichain interaction, which in turn could create new opportunities for interoperability components.
🔥The bigger picture: Matchain’s integration of BitGet’s OmniConnect feature looks to expand its campaign and general exposure across hundreds of blockchain ecosystems.
Typically, when someone first engages with blockchains, they gravitate toward a specific protocol or dApp. However, if they enjoy it and decide to deepen their understanding, the desire to explore different protocols tends to grow. This path leads to a general need for more seamless interoperability across chains because the more friction there is, the worse the user experience is.
If Matchain can successfully leverage OmniConnect to enable multichain compatibility, it can benefit from increased usage of both its network and its Telegram mini-app, as users explore new opportunities across various blockchain ecosystems.
