🌐 What happened: Consumer-facing applications are driving Aptos’ push into everyday payments and finance, Aptos Foundation’s SVP and Head of Ecosystem, Ash Pampati, said during the latest Token Relations Quarterly Webinar.

CreatorFi’s co-founder and CBO, Jack Cameron, and Rhuna’s co-founder and CEO, Sveat Viziti, also discussed how crypto can solve problems for event settlements and creator payments.

🌐 Why it matters: Aptos’ growing consumer ecosystem sits at the center of its rising stablecoin market cap, which increased to $1.83 billion by December 2025 from $430 million at the beginning of 2025. Crucially, this growth is being driven by consumer payments via apps that people already use.

“Stablecoin volume on Aptos keeps growing because the digital dollar goes where it’s treated best,” Pampati said. “When companies with millions of users start routing payments and advances through the chain, a meaningful part of that volume becomes market-resistant.”

Rhuna, which powers payments at festivals, concerts and theme parks, streamlines the $50-$100 that attendees typically spend on food, drinks and merchandise — a crucial source of revenue for event organizers. “Tickets are only 5% to 10% of revenue; the real money is what people spend inside,” Viziti said. “Today, that flow loses 2% to 4% to processors and settles in weeks, but by moving those purchases to Aptos stablecoins, payments settle instantly at near-zero cost, and even secondary ticket transfers become fraud-proof.”

Meanwhile, CreatorFi gives creators such as YouTubers, TikTokers and musicians access to future earnings. Instead of signing publishing deals or giving up equity, creators can borrow against their existing platform revenue and get paid in stablecoins. “Creators are cash-flow-positive businesses,” Cameron said. “They can’t access tomorrow’s earnings without brutal terms, but through stablecoins, it allows for cost-efficient and faster payouts in comparison to bank wires.”

Aptos’ ability to keep the blockchain layer invisible is driving adoption from both sides: companies looking for plug-and-play infrastructure and consumers who simply want a seamless experience. “We’re not onboarding crypto natives,” Viziti said. “90-95 % of our users have no idea there’s a blockchain behind it - and that’s fine.”

🌐 The big picture: Aptos’ invisible-by-design infrastructure naturally aligns with companies that want to facilitate cheap and fast payments to organizers, venues and creators.

Rhuna and CreatorFi are turning stablecoins into the default rail for large slices of the creator and live-entertainment economy. That results in stablecoin supply and transfer volume that grows with a rising user base.

🌐 What happened: Paxos Labs announced its USDG0 stablecoin will be integrated on to Aptos.

🌐 Why it matters: USDG0 is an omnichain version of Paxos’ regulated stablecoin, USDG. It is a fully regulated, 1:1 USD-backed stablecoin issued by Paxos, the same infrastructure provider behind other stablecoins like USDP and PYUSD.

Unlike traditional bridged versions that rely on locks or wrappers, USDG0 uses LayerZero’s burn-and-mint model which enables direct transfers to-and-from other supported ecosystems like Ethereum, Solana and Hyperliquid. While this is mainly designed for reduction of liquidity fragmentation, it also expands Aptos’ cross-chain DeFi capabilities.

This integration is the second Paxos-issued stablecoin on Aptos, following PYUSD0 earlier in September. Alongside USDT, USDC, USDE, PYUSD0, and USD1, this release gives developers another compliant, institutional-grade stablecoin option. Already, we are seeing this playout as stablecoin supply on Aptos has grown 35% to $1.4 billion since Paxos Labs’ announcement of USDG0 on November 18. On a broader scale, USDG, the stablecoin USDG0 is derived from, has a market cap of $1.2 billion.

The Aptos Foundation will work with key Aptos ecosystem protocols to integrate USDG0 in support of sustainable, ecosystem-wide adoption. In addition, Aptos wallets like Petra and OKX will support USDG0 for users.

🌐 The big picture: As Aptos continues to expand its stablecoin offerings and regulated issuers gain attention, the release of USDG0 further positions the network as a reliable venue for settlement and onchain liquidity. By adding another stablecoin with functionality like yield-sharing, it increases optionality for Aptos developers, institutions, and payment providers that require compliance-grade assets.

Since USDG0 is issued by Paxos, it operates under both Singapore’s MPI license and Europe’s MiCA framework. The MPI license means it legally recognizes USDG as an approved payment token in Singapore. For institutions, it means banks, payment companies, and wealth funds in the country can custody and offer USDG to clients. As for MiCA, any licensed European banker or broker can offer USDG to its customers as well without violating regulations.

All in, USDG0’s integration with Aptos gives the network access for stablecoin adoption across these two regions. MPI and MiCA together can turn USDG0 from just another stablecoin on Aptos, to an institutionally accepted on-ramp and off-ramp digital asset.

🌐 Why it matters: Reliable, high-frequency data is foundational for protocols focused on trading. Chainlink’s Data Streams provide sub-second price updates from traditional finance sources like bid/ask spreads, confidence intervals, and market status metadata. This enables Decibel to maintain accurate mark prices and prevent manipulation during volatile periods.

Meanwhile, DataLink offers secure, verifiable publishing of premium datasets from providers such as S&P Global and Deutsche Börse, ensuring compliance for institutional use cases.

This integration plans to reduce oracle-related risks, a critical factor in perpetuals, where minor delays or inaccuracies can trigger liquidations. Chainlink’s decentralized aggregation with Aptos’ parallel execution can allow Decibel to achieve near-instant settlement with centralized-grade precision.

Given how other trading protocols from other networks that incorporated Chainlink have performed, Chainlink stands to strengthen Decibel’s position as an enterprise-ready protocol. For example, GMX on Avalanche saw its TVL increase from $506 million to $600 million a month after adopting Data Streams, and Jupiter on Solana grew from $888 billion in DEX aggregator volume to $920 billion a month after integrating real-time feeds.

🌐 The big picture: This launch looks to strengthen Decibel’s position as an enterprise-ready protocol for DeFi use cases, particularly in derivatives and tokenized markets.

Decibel’s adoption of Chainlink’s services reflects the convergence of traditional market data and blockchain rails. As a result, it can drive greater composability, reduce systemic risk and accelerate the maturation of onchain trading ecosystems.

🌐 What happened: The value of real-world assets (RWAs) on Aptos rose 67% in October to an all-time high of $1.22 billion, and 30-day transfer volume increased 24.34% to $1.6 billion.

🌐 Why it matters: BlackRock’s BUIDL fund accounted for a majority of the growth, as it increased its holdings on Aptos from $43.56 million to $544 million on October 23. As a result, Aptos is now the third-largest network for BUIDL by market cap, behind Ethereum and Avalanche.

Aptos’ all-time high in RWA value establishes the network as a key infrastructure for tokenized assets. Historically, spikes in RWA value reflect strong institutional adoption and trust in a chain’s reliability. Meanwhile, rising transfer volumes indicate active utilization, proving the platform’s ability to manage large-scale flows without sacrificing performance.

An increase in RWA showcases Aptos’ ability to support major players like BlackRock, and act as a bridge to bring more investors onchain.

🌐 What happened: To commemorate three years of Aptos’ mainnet, the network’s team on Wednesday kicked off The Aptos Experience, a two-day event in Brooklyn, NYC, featuring live demos, conversations and activations.

🌐 Why it matters: Organized in a decked-out warehouse complete with subways and food carts in keeping with the NYC theme, The Aptos Experience focused on what’s next for the blockchain as it approaches its third anniversary.

Aptos Labs’ CEO, Avery Ching, and its head of ecosystem, Ash Pampati, discussed the blockchain’s vision to become the Global Trading Engine, an ambitious infrastructure layer that seeks to create a “truly global financial system.”

Like many other blockchains, Aptos is on a mission to connect crypto with TradFi. While last year, its North Star was payments, loyalty and advertising, this year the network is focusing on moving all assets onchain, Ching said.

The next phase of Aptos will focus on payments, better performance and data, and will include the launch of Namespaces, a scaling strategy for the network to transform it into a single mesh, Ching said.

Namespaces will be the “private lane on the Aptos super highway,” Sasha Spiegelman, head of research at Aptos Labs, said. It will allow for tailored execution environments and give institutions flexibility without fragmentation.

In sum, the Namespaces architecture is designed to “connect the decentralized world,” Spigelman said.

Historically, capital formation has been restricted to a very small group of investors, Ching said. While the current technology is insufficient for advancements or broader audiences, he said, new advancements will change this. This is “not our final form,” he added.

Aptos currently has about $714.52 million in total value locked, with a stablecoin market cap of $1.1 billion and 24-hour decentralized exchange volume of $156 million, according to DeFiLlama data.

“Crypto is ready for the main stage,” Ching added. “The new administration and financial markets are embracing crypto like never before.”

🌐 The big picture: Aptos is on a journey to build the best Global Trading Engine, Spigelman said, focusing on low latency, high throughput, MEV protection and onchain automation.

“We believe trading is the future of blockchains,” Spiegelman said, adding that the engine is an “execution powerhouse purpose-built for high scalability.”

It’s not just about performance though, it should go from the blockchain’s technology to real world apps, Ching noted. “The [virtual machine] is built for trading and composability.”

🌐 What happened: World Liberty Financial is launching its USD1 stablecoin on the Aptos blockchain, marking the first Move-based integration for the stablecoin.

🌐 Why it matters: USD1 is a US dollar-pegged asset backed by treasuries and cash equivalents, making for a compliant bridge between traditional finance and onchain applications.

Like other stablecoins, USD1 aims to make it easier for institutions and builders to access a stable source of liquidity for payments, DeFi protocols and tokenized assets. In this case, USD1’s deployment to Aptos is notable because its transactions are settled in under a second, and with fees that cost less than a penny. It also supports direct transfers for financial use cases like remittances and yield farming.

As for World Liberty Financial, the company is looking to drive adoption on Aptos by tapping the network’s high-speed infrastructure - the integration leverages the network’s Move language for secure, efficient stablecoin operations. On launch day, Aptos ecosystem protocols like Echelon, Hyperion, Thala Labs and Panora Exchange will integrate USD1 for liquidity pools, which may lead to a boost in overall TVL and trading activity.

As demand from institutional investors for stablecoins increases, USD1’s integration with Aptos will enable frictionless flows that alleviate the delays and costs of off-chain banking, all while maintaining full backing and transparency. And since Aptos wallets like Petra, Backpack OKX and Gate will support USD1 on launch, it makes for greater accessibility as well.

🌐 What happened: Aptos integrated Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to enable secure and high-throughput bridges across the ecosystem.

🌐 Why it matters: This integration brings Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network to Aptos, enabling direct asset transfers across 60 Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and non-EVM chains. Aptos is the first Move-based blockchain to adopt CCIP, and it will also benefit from Chainlink’s reach since the platform has enabled transactions worth more than $25 trillion so far.

Aptos is gaining institutional-grade security thanks to this integration, which also allows DeFi protocols like Aave to expand stablecoins natively to Aptos, as well as asset issuers like Bedrock to bring wrapped bitcoin tokens to the network.

CCIP leverages the Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard to convert ERC-20 tokens into cross-chain assets with more layers of security. This setup enables deployments to provide tamper-proof data flows in as less as 60 seconds, allowing scalability for applications across the ecosystem.

In addition to the interoperability features, this integration unlocks tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) by connecting Aptos to major chains within the Chainlink ecosystem, like Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base.

🌐 The big picture: Aptos’ CCIP integration demonstrates how general-purpose blockchains can evolve into unified trading hubs. The combination of Move’s safety-focused coding language with Chainlink’s cross-chain reliability can drive institutional adoption by enabling secure, scalable and interoperable DeFi applications that can be used across the global financial market.

Beyond more liquidity, Chainlink’s integration gives Aptos users access to advanced trading across DEXs and lending protocols, such as atomic swaps for arbitrage, or collateral portability to minimize slippage and unlock underutilized capital.

Aptos Experience, a two-day event designed to highlight the Aptos community and ecosystem founders, heads to NYC

The Aptos Experience is an event designed to bring Aptos ecosystem builders, founders and community members together. Following the Aptos Foundation’s last event in Seoul, the team looks to showcase the blockchain’s capabilities by featuring technical workshops, hosting networking opportunities and facilitating thoughtful discussions. In addition, Aptos Experience plans to empower its network developers by offering a Builder House for founders. 

In general, crypto events serve as a way for companies to attract long-term ecosystem members, as well as bridge technical and non-technical audiences through discussions. With web3 being a global community, more often than not people may form relationships with others that are from another country. However, these events act as a place for community members from around the world to come together and meet with one another. Sometimes, for the first time despite speaking to each other constantly for months or even years.

While this isn’t the first Aptos event, it is its first main event of the year in NYC. As often referenced as the crypto capital of the world, Aptos looks to make its mark in the city. By spotlighting ecosystem projects, the Aptos Experience can establish the network as a hub for cultivating builder-led communities. 

Aave launched its liquidity protocol to Aptos, making it the protocol’s first non-EVM deployment

As the second largest DeFi protocol by TVL with more than $36 billion, Aave’s launch to Aptos extends its into ones built on the Move programming language. The protocol’s release to Aptos mainnet builds off its testnet launch that occurred earlier this year.

At the time of launch, Aave will support native USDC, USDT, APT and sUSDe while the Aptos Foundation will provide user rewards and liquidity incentives. In combination with Aptos’ growth in stablecoin market cap, which has seen more than a 100% increase year-to-date, this initiative expands Aptos’ commitment to advancing the adoption of the digital asset.

In addition, this development looks to attract new liquidity and unlock collateral markets for Aptos. Since Aave integrates with Chainlink Price Feeds, it enhances the security needed for accessing lending markets and RWAs. In turn, it could lead to broader adoption, providing users access to more financial applications since Aptos will have connectivity with EVM networks.

“To build a truly global, open financial system, Aave must operate across different blockchains,” Aave Labs Founder Stani Kulechov said. “Aptos will enable Aave to reach new communities, users and institutions, while expanding stablecoin liquidity, unlocking new collateral markets.”

🌐What happened: Decibel, an onchain trading platform, is now live on Aptos Devnet with its waitlist open to the public.

🌐Why does it matter: The onchain trading environment is crowded, but Decibel wants to unify the fragmented trading experience for users. It’s creating a cohesive, composable platform that integrates DeFi strategies like spot trading, perpetual futures, vaults and lending into one place. Powered by Aptos’ parallel execution engine, Block-STM, it’s “remastering DeFi for the new sound of trading,” the team stated on X. 

All in, it’s creating a centralized exchange (CEX)-like experience, while maintaining the transparency that decentralized exchanges (DEX) offer. While it is an onchain trading platform, the team stated it’s “not just for traders,” as its infrastructure is programmable for DeFi and institutional finance builders.  

Furthermore, this new platform can strengthen the foundation for scalable, inclusive and efficient global finance by enhancing capital flows. Since Decibel provides onchain orderbook liquidity and a framework-level Central Limit Order Book (CLOB), it creates a loop where increased trading volumes and liquidity can benefit all Aptos-based protocols.

🌐The big picture: Looking ahead, Decibel can become a framework where one protocol can provide a ripple effect of benefits to the entire network, creating a more unified financial ecosystem. 

Decibel is designed to act as the execution layer for the Aptos ecosystem by enabling high-speed trading for protocols without compromising on control. This aligns with Aptos’ vision to become a global trading engine as it can “drive smoother onchain user experiences, foster onchain liquidity, deepen asset composability, and expand greater yield and wealth opportunities,” Aptos Foundation Head of Ecosystem Ash Pampati outlined in an X post. 

This brings a positive-sum dynamic, where increased trading activity can enhance liquidity and enable applications like DEXs or lending protocols to foster cross-chain compatibility. As well, its  decentralized manner provides a solution for more transparent execution, which creates greater scalability and trust.

As Aptos continues to grow its DeFi and RWA sectors, Decibel’s release can position the  network as a place that facilitates an aggregated financial ecosystem.

🌐What happened: Echelon, a lending protocol that gives users access to leverage through over-collateralized loans, joined the Aptos Foundation’s LFM. 

🌐Why does it matter: Aptos Foundation’s LFM is a program created to provide ecosystem projects resources such as growth strategy, direct support with the Aptos Foundation team, connections with other network projects, and more. It is designed to be “The Premier Token Generation Event (TGE) Track for Aptos Projects.” This structured support aims to align the protocol’s roadmap with Aptos’ vision of being a global trading engine.

For Echelon, its inclusion in LFM brings it enhanced visibility, refined tokenomics and deeper integrations with Aptos-native DeFi projects like Aries Markets and Echo Protocol, which are the two largest by TVL. 

Currently, Echelon boasts a borrowed amount of nearly $118 million, DefiLlama data shows. The protocol also has a TVL of $133.4 million, up 33% on the year, showcasing its appeal to users as it’s the sixth largest protocol on the network in this category.

Beyond support, Echelon joining LFM signals it plans to TGE soon. This is a critical step for web3 projects, as the launch of native tokens can incentivize user participation and fund ecosystem development. TGEs could be a make or break for some teams, as token launches are an integral part of crypto, so making sure the right resources are provided is important. LFM aims to prioritize projects on the Aptos network, while making sure teams have the right tools equipped to have a successful launch.

🌐The big picture: A successful TGE requires a lot of moving parts: a thoughtful tokenomics design, robust marketing to drive community adoption and technical integration to ensure scalability and security. As more pieces become complex, having the right resources surrounding a team’s launch is important. So, programs like the Aptos Foundation’s LFM can ensure a TGE aligns with market demands and necessary token frameworks. 

This support approach can pave the way for other networks to create a similar model for their ecosystem projects to follow. If LFM ushers enough projects successfully to TGE, it will showcase how these tailored programs can drive ecosystem growth and attract new users to the broader network.

🌐What happened: Echo Protocol launched its token generation event (TGE) last week, marking a pivotal milestone for the BTCfi protocol. 

🌐Why does it matter: Traditionally, TGEs are a critical for web3 projects as the launch of native tokens can incentivize user participation and fund ecosystem development. In addition, TGEs can also enhance project visibility, foster community engagement and provide liquidity for DeFi integrations by distributing tokens to various groups like platform users or marketing funnels. 

In Echo’s case, it's TGE introduces the ECHO token, which is designed to encourage user participation, facilitate governance decisions and enhance liquidity for its bitcoin-backed token, aBTC. In turn, Echo hopes to drive more growth of BTCfi on Aptos. 

It’s also a participant of Aptos Foundation’s LFM program, which provides resources and mentorship for projects gearing up for TGE. This event marks its graduation date and underscores Echo’s role in turning bitcoin into a productive, onchain asset that also drives liquidity and composability across Aptos-native protocols.

Looking ahead, Echo Protocol plans to continue its role as a leader in the BTCfi ecosystem on Aptos by expanding bitcoin’s utility and deepening ecosystem integration. As the leading protocol on Aptos by TVL with more than $271 million, the launch of the ECHO token provides another avenue for increasing liquidity and user adoption. The protocol plans to integrate Aptos-native DeFi projects like Thala, Cellana and Joule to enhance aBTC’s composability and yield opportunities.

🌐What happened: Aptos Labs and Jump Crypto released Shelby, a decentralized cloud-grade storage that delivers and monetizes data for web3 apps.

🌐Why does it matter: In a world where everything is becoming more digitized, it has started to bleed into our everyday lives. If you walk down the block or take public transportation, you’ll see that almost everyone is either on their device or listening to something.

This digital era has sparked a creator economy, where anyone can make a living from creating content. With more aspiring content creators, this market is projected to surpass $525 billion by 2030, up 170% from $191 billion in 2024.

Unlike traditional decentralized storage systems, which are often slow and archival-focused, Shelby was designed to provide sub-second data reads. This allows applications like streaming, AI inference and gaming that are crypto-based to perform in real-time. In turn, it transforms static files into dynamic, revenue-generating assets through built-in monetization tools like per-read payments and dynamic pricing. 

Shelby is designed to be a tool for web3 creators, where they can use fast and scalable infrastructures that are more efficient than web2 platforms. The protocol plans to create a model that goes against the curve. Since Shelby’s monetization is onchain, data can be more automated and transparent. This allows payments or rewards to be triggered, allowing for more creator freedom to deploy pay-per-view streams or token-gated content without relying on centralized systems.

🌐The big picture: Traditional platforms like Instagram or Spotify capture most of the value from user-generated content, leaving creators with limited revenue. However, Shelby looks to fix this and empower the creator economy by giving artists, developers and content producers direct control over their data’s economics.

In general, the global trading landscape is evolving as blockchain enables 24/7 accessibility globally across all kinds of markets. This borderless market that traditional systems struggle to match allows protocols like Shelby to stand out. If done right, Shelby can amplify the creator economy by making data a tradable, monetizable asset, much like tokens in DeFi protocols.

🌐What happened: Decentralized exchange Hyperion hit an all-time high in TVL at $112.35 million, up 56% on the month. It also recorded its largest single-day trading volume of $149.87 million on June 11, DefiLlama data shows.

🌐Why does it matter: These milestones underscore Hyperion’s growing prominence as a liquidity hub within the Aptos ecosystem for onchain trading activity. Hyperion leverages Aptos’ high-performance infrastructure to provide a more tailored trading experience.

Hyperion’s offers features like swap aggregation and concentrated liquidity market-making, to leverage Aptos’ parallel execution engine. This means Hyperion’s design optimizes capital efficiency and reduces slippage to unify fragmented liquidity pools. In turn, traders are able to access deep market liquidity pools, low-cost execution methods and yield opportunities, attracting both retail users and institutions alike.

Traditionally, the surge in a protocol's TVL showcases robust user confidence and capital commitment. On the other hand, growth in daily DEX volume demonstrates a platform’s capacity to handle substantial transaction throughput, without compromising efficiency.

For Hyperion, its TVL and DEX volume milestones show its ability to attract substantial capital and facilitate high-frequency trading. These metrics highlight Hyperion’s efficiency in aggregating liquidity to enable cost-effective trades with minimal price impact. The surge in activity underscores growing market confidence in its infrastructure, which leverages Aptos to support scalable, high-performance DeFi applications.

In just four months since Hyperion launched on Aptos mainnet, this growth contributes to the DeFi protocol’s plans for a TGE in Q2 2025. This will be supported by Aptos Foundation’s LFM, which helps ecosystem projects preparing for token generation events.

Hyperion closed its strategic funding round, led by OKX Ventures with participation from the Aptos Foundation. This milestone allows the protocol to empower innovative asset mint and distribution within the ecosystem. In turn, it hopes to spark momentum and expand onchain asset use cases.

🌐What happened: Bitcoin DeFi (BTCfi) is heating up on Aptos as OKX integrated its wrapped bitcoin, xBTC, on the network and deployed it to the OKX trading exchange. This deployment coincides with Echo Protocol, a bitcoin stake and yield protocol for the Move ecosystem, reaching an all-time high in TVL on Aptos of nearly $275 million, DefiLlama data shows.

🌐Why does it matter: OKX's launch of xBTC on Aptos is the exchange’s way to provide bitcoin holders access to the network’s decentralized finance (DeFi) opportunities, while maintaining security. The xBTC is a token that maintains a 1:1 ratio with bitcoin, and comes with no minting or redemption fees unlike other wrapped versions. These aspects are often a common barrier for users wanting to use their bitcoin in DeFi applications because in most cases, a user would have to exchange their bitcoin for a wrapped version. 

Separately, Echo Protocol has played a pivotal role in Aptos’ growing BTCfi ecosystem. Its recent TVL milestone, at the same time of the release of xBTC, showcased strong demand for bitcoin-backed DeFi solutions on Aptos. 

OKX’s xBTC has been integrated to protocols including Echo Protocol, as well as other Aptos-native projects like Aries Markets and Hyperion. This creates a more robust BTCfi infrastructure that can support diverse use cases such as lending and high-frequency trading. 

Bitcoin is the largest cryptocurrency by market cap and the release of xBTC allows an extra avenue of liquidity to flow to Aptos. While this move looks to enhance bitcoin’s utility, it can also position the Aptos network as a contributor to the evolving BTCfi landscape. In turn, it may attract new developers and users that want to access - or use - their bitcoin for DeFi.

🌐The big picture: There is a growing trend across the broader web3 sector where bitcoin is becoming more than just a store of value. Users are turning to ways to access their bitcoin in order to participate in DeFi protocols. 

Aptos is emerging in this sector as a hub for BTCfi, with over 370 million bitcoin wrapped on the network, the team shared on X.

🌐Why does it matter: KGeN, is a web3 gaming ecosystem built on the Aptos blockchain. The platform’s recent user activity milestones points to growth across the broader blockchain gaming sector. For context, KGeN is designed with player ownership in mind to provide gamers the ability to control their digital identities and assets.

High transaction counts and active addresses can be seen as important feats for gaming ecosystems because they indicate frequent in-game interactions such as asset trades or reward distributions. In turn, this would enhance player retention and economic use-cases. The rise in user base could be an attractive metric for developers or publishers that are looking to explore web3 gaming. 

To zoom out, these metrics also demonstrate Aptos network’s ability to handle a rise in user activity for gaming. More often than not, web3 games rely on the network it's building on to be sustainable because of the intense activity it could achieve at scale. With KGeN reaching all-time highs in user activity and Aptos maintaining uptime, this could entice new and existing users alike.

🌐The big picture: The synergy between Aptos’ technical capabilities and KGeN’s user activity milestones underscores the importance of user activity and being able to handle growth from gaming.

For Hyperion, which is designed to offer fast transaction speeds and handle large trading volumes, it benefits from an environment with low-latency and high-throughput. So it's important that the infrastructure it's built on is able to execute trades quickly and support a growing user base. 

Aptos stated in a recent post that its mission is to serve as “a global trading engine.” This directly aligns with Hyperion’s recent milestones. Since the beginning of the month, Hyperion’s TVL is up more than 30%. Since a growing TVL is reflective of an increase in user trust and capital commitment, Hyperion is showcasing its ability to house liquidity on Aptos. Meanwhile, its daily trading volume metric nearing new peaks could demonstrate that the protocol is able to handle large amounts of transactions, while maintaining a robust system. 

By building on Aptos, Hyperion looks to benefit from the network’s emphasis on creating a scalable, financial-focused ecosystem. In turn, this could attract traders and liquidity providers who seek performance comparable to centralized exchanges. 

🌐The big picture: TVL and trading volume can be seen as critical metrics for a DEX’s growth. TVL represents the total capital deposited into Hyperion’s smart contracts, signaling user confidence and the platform’s capacity to facilitate trading and yield opportunities. A new high might attract more liquidity providers and traders, enhancing market depth and reducing slippage. 

Additionally, recording high amounts in terms of trading volume showcases the platform’s growth in activity level and ability to generate fees. In turn, these fees can be reinvested to improve services or incentivize users.

Together, these metrics could create a virtuous cycle for Hyperion. An increased TVL supports higher trading volumes by ensuring liquidity, while robust trading activity draws more capital, boosting it as well.

🌐What happened: Expo 2025 Japan began earlier this week with Aptos as the exclusive digital wallet provider for the exhibition. 

🌐Why does it matter: Expo 2025 is a six-month-long global exhibition held in Osaka, Japan with an expected showrate of more than 28 million visitors from 160 countries. This convention is focused on developments in AI, biotechnology and digital ecosystems through interactive experiences. 

Aptos is the exclusive blockchain provider for the Expo 2025 digital wallet, facilitating real-time transactions for ticketing, bookings and digital collectibles. Aptos made an appearance at the Osaka JR Station, exposing its advertisement to everyday commuters beyond the event. 

This follows an October 2024 announcement by Aptos Labs, when it acquired HashPallete to expand in the Japanese market. This also aligned with the network’s launch as the exclusive provider for the Expo 2025 digital wallet. While the exhibition started a few days ago, Aptos has already begun onboarding new users through Japan’s digital economy. 

Furthermore, since Expo 2025 is expected to receive millions of visitors, Aptos has the chance to showcase its ability to handle a large influx of new and non-crypto native users. These entrants would be using the Aptos network to interact with NFTs, dApps and loyalty programs at the event. In turn, this opens the door to adoption and Aptos could deliver secure and user-friendly blockchain solutions - without them having to know the ins and outs of the technology.

🌐The big picture: Since the exhibition has interactions with digital assets, ticketing and loyalty programs, it can showcase Aptos’ ability to support diverse, cross-border use cases like global payment solutions.

It also provides a new audience exposure to blockchain technology in a simple way, allowing visitors to engage with the wallet without having to know its crypto-based. 

Aptos’ role as the blockchain provider for Expo 2025’s digital wallet could pave the way for its ability to handle more high-volume, new entrants and greater real-world transactions across the globe.

Inside the blockchain

🌐What happened: Echelon Market hit an all-time high passing $200 million in TVL, with about $107 million coming from borrowed amounts, according to DefiLlama data.

🌐Why does it matter: Echelon Market is a borrowing and lending protocol built on the Aptos blockchain. It provides users a way to access permissionless leverage opportunities by taking out loans against their assets. Echelon Market supports some of the highest digital assets by market cap such as BTC, ETH, USDT and APT, amongst others. 

The protocol aims to maximize capital efficiency by providing affordable borrowing rates in the DeFi ecosystem. By integrating risk management techniques and known tokens, it hopes to provide an easier access point for users who want to earn yield on their assets.

The borrow and lend protocol on the Aptos network has been on an upward trajectory since February. It is over 100% higher from its TVL of $140 million a month ago.

Additionally, Echelon Market has a points system embedded into its platform. This means users who participate and lock up their funds on the protocol can earn points. In turn, this can be contributive to the uptick in usage because new point seasons typically boost user activity. 

🌐The big picture: Typically, the TVL metric is associated with DeFi as it reflects the amount of assets within a protocol or network. In regards to Echelon Market’s case, and it being a borrow and lend protocol, a high TVL can be indicative of how much working capital is being used. 

As of recent, the broader Aptos network TVL rose by about 37% in the past two months to $1.67 billion. This can point to more long-term users and an engaged ecosystem on Aptos, after the recent market drawdowns. 

The start of Echelon Market’s Season 2 points leaderboard has yet to be finalized, but the team hinted it's in the works. If operated smoothly, its rise in TVL has the potential to pave the way for sustained growth across the protocol and broader Aptos ecosystem.

  • Unique active wallets: 5.99M (+16.57%)

  • Transactions: 20.47M (+12.46%)
